Make the Most of the Holiday Season Near Portsmouth at the Holiday Parade at the Beach
December 1, 2015
If you’re looking for a way to start the holiday celebrations as early as possible, venture out of Portsmouth and down to the annual Holiday Parade at the Beach. This fun parade is always a favorite way to begin the holiday season, and this year it takes place on December 5, with the festivities kicking off just as the sun goes down at 5:30 p.m.
More than 80 parade units and other groups will parade their way down Atlantic Avenue between 15th and 25th streets, spreading holiday cheer to Portsmouth residents of all ages. Elaborate floats, trotting horses, marching bands and dance groups will strut their stuff down the street in time to cheerful holiday music, and to cap off the event, Santa himself will make an appearance and listen to wish lists from good boys and girls. If you’re looking for a way to really get in the holiday spirit with your whole family, you can’t miss the Holiday Parade at the Beach.
