Portsmouth Kids Can Stay Entertained During ‘New To Do’ Daily Activities at the Children’s Museum of Virginia
January 6, 2016
Now that winter is in full swing, you might be seeking new and novel ways to keep the kids entertained until spring. Here's an idea: Spend a day at the Children's Museum of Virginia! Located not too far from Portsmouth, this kid-friendly museum houses two floors of interactive, educational exhibits that invite youngsters to play and romp — while also learning a thing or two!
Permanent exhibits center around subjects like giant bubbles, the port of Norfolk, music, pets, art, and science. There's even a dedicated "Tot Yard" and a Thomas and Friends play area. The Children's Museum of Virginia also has some new things in store for 2016: namely, a brand-new roster of daily activities that are included with museum admission. These activities include Transportation Tuesday, Wacky Wednesday, and themed crafts during Make N Take Saturdays!
